- Research and development - Advanced Timber Concepts Research Centre
ATCRC brings together professional architects, furniture manufacturers, wood technologists and marketing professionals to create designer furniture pieces for export market development and import replacement.
- New ideas - Plantation Energy
Thanks to timber residue, Plantation Energy is producing and exporting clean, green energy products that can power the world and deliver positive economic and employment opportunities for regional Western Australia.
- Strategic Tree Farming (STF)
$64 million dollars of federal and state funding was used for addressing the environmental impacts of land clearing, by targeted replanting of tree crops that will suppliment on-farm income, and help develop new rural industries and opportunities.
- BP Kwinana
In 1998, the BP Kwinana Refinery partnered with FPC to become the first energy company in Australia to engage in carbon emissions trading.
- Synergy
In 2008, Synergy, Western Australia’s largest energy retailer and primary power supplier in the south west of WA, partnered with FPC to deliver a 5,000 hectare tree planting project in winter 2009.
