Coupes and indicative total sawlog volumes

South West region - 2003

Notes:

  1. The gross plan area is the initial plan area before detailed coupe planning reduces the area available to be harvested by retaining exclusion zones and applying other constraints. Areas will be harvested to a range of silvicultural objectives including thinning, regeneration establishment (shelterwood) and regeneration release (gap creation).
  2. The supply of other log products is subject to demand.
  3. Additional log products may be generated from clearing operations associated with mining, utility construction, or fencing activities.
  4. Harvesting operations in some coupes will extend beyond the 12-month period, so a portion of the log volumes will ‘carry-over’ into the next year.
