PARTNERSHIPS

“Salinity management is one of our highest priorities and we urgently seek viable and profitable options to slow down it effects. The Strategic Tree Farming project is one option that we strongly support.

Damien Hills, General Manager, South West Catchments Council.

Developing new timber industries and tackling environmental problems are major tasks requiring change on a large scale. This kind of change could only able to be achieved by involving landowners, industry, community groups and Government agencies in new partnerships.

For example, the Strategic Tree Farming (STF) project previously administed by FPC was part-funded by the Commonwealth and Western Australian Governments with the support of four natural resource management (NRM) groups.

The FPC continues to partner with visionary organisations to sequester carbon, as a way of helping to combat global warming.
