PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The FPC offers a diverse range of products and services to customers, suppliers, land owners and the numerous private and public agencies it works in partnership with.
With extensive experience in, and knowledge of, sustainable forest management practices, we are keen to educate the broader community about our industry and the products and services associated with it.
Buying timber
Sustainable Western Australian timbers can be purchased in a number of ways.
Consumers can purchase timbers through sawmills, firewood suppliers and hardware stores, or at quarterly auctions in Harvey.
Companies and other parties can obtain timber through these same channels, as well as through competitive tenders and production contracts.
Seeds and seedlings
Both our Seed Technology Centre and Nursery have world-class, industry recognised facilities ready to service you needs.
Seed Technologies has 75 years experience in the collection of West Australian native seed and has produced improved forestry seed for the last 35 years.
The Nursery was established in 1968 for the growing of bare root seedlings, and currently delivers in excess of 14 million seedling annually to commercial customers. It has also twice won the Best Large Production Nursery category in the WA Nursery & Garden Industry awards.
Timber workers registration
Within Western Australia, workers in specific roles within the timber industry are required to possess a valid timber workers registration.
Forest Products Commission (FPC) is the agency responsible for managing and issuing timber worker registrations.
Stumpage schedules
Stumpage schedules list the standard gross stumpages charged by the Forest Products Commission for the different species and grades of forest products supplied by us in Western Australia.
