Auctions

The Forest Products Commission regularly auctions specialty timber logs to the general public.
Extensive selections of species from around the State; many salvaged from various land clearing projects i.e. mining and road construction are offered for sale. The species range from precious Goldfields timbers to highly prized southwest species.
Auction lots are sized to accommodate small commercial operators, craftspeople and hobbyists who require varying amounts of craftwood.

Location, times and auction lists
All auctions commence at 10.00 am and are held at the Commission’s Harvey Mill, 64 Weir Road, Harvey WA 6220.
Notifications and reminders
The Commission makes every effort to notify the public through classified advertising, media releases and relevant online communities (such as the Woodwork Forums) in the weeks prior to each auction.
Auction details, including the auction lots list, are available from the Ross' Auctions website, which has a reminder service available for registered customers.
Frequently asked questions
When can items on offer be inspected?
Inspection of lots on offer is available from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm the day prior to each auction and on the morning of auction from 8.00 am to 10.00 am.
Is absentee bidding available?
Yes. For full information on absentee bidding, please refer to the Auctioneer's buyer information page.
Can you assist me in arranging cartage/transportation?
No. Auction staff will be able to provide a list of cartage & transportation providers who will be able to assist you with these requirements.
Is assistance available for loading my vehicle/truck?
Our staff will assist in loading logs, either by forklift or log loader. This service is provided at your own risk. All relevant road traffic and Occupational Safety and Healthy rules apply. Where an issue of safety or non-compliance with road traffic regulations is identified, Commission staff will not assist with loading vehicles.
Where can I have my logs sawn or dried?
Our auction staff can provide information about where these services may be accessed.
