Timber inspection

The Forest Products Commission provides timber inspection services, on a fee for service basis.

Our inspectors are available for assessing sawn timber intended for use in sleepers, crossings, transmission poles and jetties. These inspections certify that timber meets requirements within Australian standards and/or client specifications.

We are also available for existing timber structures such as fire lookout towers and board walks.

This service is available to the wider timber industry, government agencies and the general public.
