The Forest Products Commission is certified to the:
ISO14001:2004 – Environmental Management System (EMS), the international standard for environmental management systems.
These certifications are received after rigorous, ongoing auditing and assessment by an external, licensed and independent auditing firm.
To maintain this, we must demonstrate a systemic approach to continuous improvement, consistently addressing issues at the root cause.
Maintaining these internationally recognised certifications enables the Commission to clearly and publicly demonstrate ongoing commitment at all levels – operations, research, human resources management and administration – to protecting Western Australia’s unique environment.
Summary management plan
The FPC has developed a Summary management plan for plantations and South West native forests to meet the requirements of the Australian Forestry Standard (AS4708:2013). This provides an overview of our forest management in the areas that are certified under AFS or otherwise referred to as our defined forest area. Defined forest area maps are available on the links below.
