The Forest Products Commission’s (FPC) nursery and seed centre is situated on a 266-hectare site in West Manjimup.
Originally opened by the then Agricultural Department as a tobacco research centre, the site was transferred in 1968 to the Forests Department, where bare root tree seedlings were grown. As the needs of forestry evolved and progressed, the West Manjimup centre was transferred to the FPC in October 2000.
The West Manjimup Nursery and Seed Centre operates under the NGIA Nursery Industry Accreditation Scheme and is independently audited and certified under:
the international standard ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System (EMS).
We are a back-to-back winner of the Western Australian NGIA Award for Best Large Production Nursery.
Our high standards of nursery hygiene and management practices ensure seedlings leave our nursery with the greatest opportunity for success following planting.
